My new area is close! It´s called Iputinga. Fortunately it´s flat. The ward is rumored to be strong.
My companion is from Minas Gerais (General Mines), the Brazilian state know for being rich in culinary dishes,
and gold, diamonds, and other precious substances. He´s very relaxed, moreno, tall, and kind. I´m feeling pretty good about the area.
Transfers give me so much stress-especially since the metro has so many people when you´re trying to carry luggage.
There was a fight on the train that started like this (You pushed me! Next, ´Si voce nao gosta, vai
de Uber mulher´-if you didn´t like being pushed, you should have taken Uber-then this cat fight broke out between the two women, then a guy shouted out something like (I didn´t catch it exactly) Ìf you don´t want to be around people, go to the desert/wilderness!!!) Anyway, it was a little funny, a little unnecessary.
Love the quote from the Ensign!
Want to hear all about Beauty and the Beast!
Quote:
Joy Is Key to Our Spiritual Survival “
When the focus of our lives is on God’s plan of salvation . . . and Jesus Christ and His gospel, we can feel joy regardless of what is happening—or not happening—in our lives. . . . “. . . His joy is constant, assuring us that our ‘afflictions shall be but a small moment’ [D&C 121:7] and be consecrated to our gain. . . . “. . . As in all things, Jesus Christ is our ultimate exemplar, ‘who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross’ [Hebrews 12:2]. Think of that! In order for Him to endure the most excruciating experience ever endured on earth, our Savior focused on joy ! . . . “If we look to the world and follow its formulas for happiness, we will never know joy. . . . Joy is a gift for the faithful
