Collage with Carmello & Camaragibe! (plus Mita, Andreza, & Elder Strohmayer)  #aspessoasquelembrameunome

I had a quite spiritual experience this week with one street in our area. I felt a strong desire, and spiritual impression to go tracting on the right side of one street until it´s end. We started to knock on doors and talk to people, and at the first house, a man, a police officer in fact, said to us, It would be good if you guys came back when my whole family is here at home so that we can listen to the message all together. You guys can pass by Tuesday afternoon?

Then we came across a guy in the ice cream shop, Carlos, who started talking to us and said, Hey, I was already taught by the missionaries-a long time ago, and you guys have áquella igreja bem bonita na Casa Forte, ne? (the temple was what he was referring to). Yeah, we replied, do you remember what the missionaries taught you? Óh no, it was so long ago, not anymore. Can we come back on Tuesday afternoon and leave a message with you here? ÓF course!`

The next house on the street, Oh, sou Sud ja, (or, Oh, I´m already LDS). I´m from Sao Paulo, but I stopped going to church because of my job on Sunday. My parents were actually ward mission leaders! Can we leave a message with you? I´m about to leave right now, but would you guys like to pass by here on Tuesday afternoon? I have a car, do you guys need a ride anywhere? I can take you.

We stopped to snack, and a guy came up to us (still the same street), oh, Elders, I was praying to find you guys (we hardly every pass by this street). I´ve been a member for about a year and a half, I live in Ibura. I really want to introduce my sister to the church, but I wanted to do it in a way that´s a bit different you know?
We mentioned English classes, sacrament meeting, and FHE-he loved the last idea, passed his number, and said, she lives in this 1st apartment building here, let´s organize this together. I live in Ibura 2 but I´ll come out here. You know, people in my family say, of all the ´doidisse/craziness´I´ve done, that best was becoming Mormon. haha

The next house, a man, Vander, opens the door, and says, Oh, I thought you were one of my friends, would you like to come in and  live a message, but it has to be really fast, I´m leaving in five minutes. Or, if you like, you guys can come pass by here at Tuesday afternoon before 5.

Rua abencoada. I then had that reaction were I was thinking, maybe God wants me to have more faith, because I´m really not believing that this is reality.

The other good thing about that area/street was when we asked, do missionaries pass here often-the reply ´raramente, ou nunca`

We had Maya Bordalo´s  baptism this week (she´s 9 years old), Elder Granja, a Seventy, baptized and confirmed her. Elder Granja gave a great take, at one point I got a little nervous because he said, Élder Talentino!-do you have the authority to......send someone to the military? (explaining Priesthood authority)-me at the piano caught off guard, ahh, no. haha The spirit was very strong! Fortunately a few recent converts and incomplete families were there.
Natalia, Maya´s mom, asked for me to be part of the confirmation, and at the end of the baptism she came up to me and said ´Muito obrigada Elder, eu quero abracar voce agora) or Thank-you so much Elder, I want to give you a hug right now. Afterwards Elder Granja came up to me and said, What´s up man? (in English) I replied, are you learning English? -´
5 words a day`=)
